Change in my travel by BA (via Expedia)

Hello,

first of all, i would like to say thank you for all the information in this area and the forum and thank you to all of you who could do this possible.

I'll try give all the details of my case so, if you could give me some advice:

- I made a travel reservation in a BA itinerary via Expedia.
- The travel is OSL-SFO (scale in LHR) the first way.
- The other way is SNA-ARN (scales in DFW and LHR).

- This reservation was confirmed and paid in early June.
- In the way SNA-SNA at the moment of the reservation i had several options to choose, with possible stops in DFW or ORD. So i choosed one optimal for me, the one who allowed a 6h and 40 min stop in DFW.
- I was happy with this long scale in order to make a little visit out of the airport and going to a medical date.

Everything was fine in this point, i choosed my travel, paid it, confirmed and all the plans were fine:

- In December i received a communication by Expedia saying that one of my flight changed:

Orange County (SNA) TO DFW-Dallas-Fort Worth Intl

Original departure: 6:45 AM Original landing: 11:55 AM
Changed departure: 08:00 AM Changed landing: 13:07 PM

The flight number is the same, BA1824 operated by American Airlines

- Two weeks laters i received another mail by Expedia, saying that the flight from DFW to LHR had a change in the departure

Original departure: 18:35 AM Original landing: 09:35 AM NEXT DAY
Changed departure: 18:00 AM Changed landing: 09:15 AM NEXT DAY

The two changes of the original scheuddel by British Airways changed my scale in DFW from 6h 40 min. to less of 5 hours, not enough time for my visit out of the airport.

Here is the interesting of the case:

- American Airlines has a flight from SNA to DFW departing and arriving at my original flight time, leaving at 6:45 and arriving at 11:55. The question is that flight is not code-shared with British Airways.

At this point i would give, if you allow me, a little advice of a lesson that i've learned in this issue. IF YOU CAN, AND THE MONEY DIFFERENCE IS SHORT, TRY TO AVOID MAKE RESERVATIONS BY ONLINE AGENCY, TRY DO IT DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE..
I say this because of:
- if you want to contact with the airline regarding of the changes they will say you must do via the travel agency, NOT DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE.
- i found in the travel agency, EXPEDIA, a total abandonment in the defense of my rights. No communications, i have 8 calls in 4 different days with no answer from Expedia. This is a good lesson, Expedia, NO MORE.

Finally, and the reason of this thread is:
- I asked to be recollocated in the flight of American Airlines who leaves and arrives in the same time of my original travel plan. The answer of British Airways via Expedia is NO.
- I asked to leave from OSL to SFO one day earlier in order to go to the medical date in USA, just because i can not do it in the stop in DFW. The answer of British Airways via Expedia is NO.

At this point the facts are that:

- The airline made changes , NOT ME, in the itinerary and communicated it with no options for me.
- There is a flight of American Airlines that make the same itinerary as the original flight. I remark that is not code-share by BA. BA refuses to locate me in this flight.
- All the answers i received is NO. The answer of BA via Expedia is NO because the changes don't have a direct influence in my final arrive to SNA.
- The option from me of change the departure to USA one day before receives the answer of NO from BA.

What can i do, can i do something? Or just like we say in Spain, put down my head and say thankyou?

Thanks you very much for reading this thread, and for your advice.
