Aeroplan works fine in this example where you are able to get reward seat availability. However, for many of this such Aeroplan availability is non-existant on the routes we want.

A reward program where those supposedly in its top 1% of customers (elites) cannot access rewards even months in advance seems fundamentally flawed to me. Aeroplan has by far the worst seat availability of any major N American FF program.
