Now, I won't fly QR or EK as a matter of where they make their connections, but that's not a safety matter.
OZ, while it had a very highly publicized accident in SFO, actually has a very good safety record. KE did have a very poor safety record prior to its reformation, however since has been nearly flawless. I'm not very knowledgable on CI though I don't know that many are raving about how great the CI product is compared with the offerings of US carriers.
