Well, I hope it's exactly this logic. In which case I'm waiting for the offer to appear where they pay me to upgrade.

On my return flight it's currently showing (as one-way or part of a return) that HBO Y is €534 and CE is €463

So, I'd be happy for them to pay me the difference to upgrade

In all seriousness. Looking at the flight availability (a fair few CE seats left, very few Y) I'm hoping for a reasonable offer to appear soon...
