I don't think it relates to your original ticket in a direct sense. From what I can make out, BA have restructured their POUG pricing so that POUG+HBO is about the same price as the cheapest CE price (halved if single). So you can often (not always) work out the POUG price now: Take the cheapest CE return from the CE website, divide it by half, remove the cost of the cheapest HBO and that's the POUG price.
Well, I hope it's exactly this logic. In which case I'm waiting for the offer to appear where they pay me to upgrade.
On my return flight it's currently showing (as one-way or part of a return) that HBO Y is €534 and CE is €463
So, I'd be happy for them to pay me the difference to upgrade
In all seriousness. Looking at the flight availability (a fair few CE seats left, very few Y) I'm hoping for a reasonable offer to appear soon...
