I have a ScanSnap s1300 at home. $200 ish off amazon, works beautifully and integrates with Evernote. You can either go premium with EN annually (which I do) and use their OCR or scan and OCR prior to upload (an option with my ScanSnap at home). Generally, I use CamScanner on my Droid Turbo for scanning receipts on the fly. It allows you to crop and enhance receipts prior to pdf conversion then share to EN. EN's latest mobile app does have a camera input feature with "Document" as a preset but it doesn't crop and enhance nearly as well as CS above. Since I'm just saving receipts for tax purposes, I title and tag them when I get back to a desktop. Taxes are a gazillion times easier! This has evolved as my system over the past couple of years - I'm sure there are many other methods out there!
