The hot tubs are still not "hot" due to some electrical issue.

There are still places where lighting is an issue, or paper towel holders missing in the bathrooms and little things like that which are all small details relative to anyone coming and having a great time.

The resort is still not operating like the 5 star resort they are hoping for it to be - but it certainly is on the right track and its evident that Hyatt Ziva has come a really long way in the 12 days its been opened.
Well, I appreciate the write up. I just found it interesting that you didn't mention anything about missing electrical outlet covers or no beverages in your room fridge, or missing light bulbs, etc....in your first post.

At first it appeared that you were writing in defense of the hotel. I think I understand better what is going at the hotel now. If I were there, and paying for a room, I would still be very disappointed that the hotel is not 100% operational from an overall guest experience.

Guests should expect that the hotel is ready, 100%, when the hotel operators open the hotel. I'm learning a lot thru this post and that is....Never EVER stay at a hotel right after it opens, especially in a laid back island culture.
