We're going to Osaka during cherry blossoms. Currently I've booked on C+P for non renovated rooms. Is it recomemnded to pay the higher C+P for the upgraded rooms during that time? Wonder what the chances of being upgraded during that time for a lowly gold. lol.

Although the premium c+p is $65 USD + 5.5k spg points, which is more than double that of 2k points + $35 USD. Not sure if it's worth it.

I think at that rate, I might as wlel just pay the 18k jpy corp rate and stay at ritz carlton？
