There is no drawback of booking on aa.com

There can be drawbacks of booking on ba.com ; if there is disruption to service ( e.g. a cancellation ) it can be easier if the ticketing and operating carrier are the same

I would not book an AA only journey on the BA site ( unless for some strange reason it was pricing a lot cheaper )
