It used to be a great avios redemption - particularly from the Americas - before the switch to mileage-based award charts.

Now it can be an ok redemption, given the cost of a cash ticket on that route, but good luck getting award availability. It's a monopoly route with no competition. Given how relatively little alliance partners reimburse each other for award tickets, I'm surprised any partner releases any inventory, particularly on popular leisure routes...
