Agree with the first one but the difference in the upgrade window from Gold (24 hours) to Plat (72 hours) is substantially greater than the difference between Plat and EXP (100 hours). EXP upgrades are free, of course, but it's that difference in the time window that seems to keep Gold upgrades so difficult to achieve.
