Thanks that seems to be where the problem is, I have a HH account, so it would have blocked the transfer in the first instance and forced it the other way which is why I didn't notice it. I have an Avios account, so I should be able to transfer to that from IB and from there to BA?
BTW why would you not be allowed to transfer into BA if you have a HH account?
