I'm staying at the CP for an ex-EU trip next year. With a 3 year old and luggage in tow!

It appears the shuttle buses run to and from Terminal 2, but BA fly from T1.
How close are the 2 terminals?
Before seeing this thread I was considering jumping in a taxi.
