I use a travel money card from the Commbank. Reloading it is free and there is no transaction fee (only an atm fee). The big advantage is that there is no address associated with the card so you can use any address, even one outside Australia. There is a currency conversion fee of 2-3% for transactions in currencies other than AUD though.
