I'm on the JFK-SLC flight right now that me and the new fiance paid full F each for to make sure we are sitting together. Upon boarding, fiance is handed a new boarding card with seat in back of FC so we are no longer sitting together. Boarding gate agent (name withheld) is straight up rude and says thats the seat and if we don't like it tough. When we get on board the seat next to me is a FA seat because the jump seat is broken (understandable) and the person now sitting next to fiance likes his seat and doesn't want to move (entirely within his rights). Very good flight attendants do what they can to help but nobody else will move either.

so to where I need advice. We paid a lot to make sure we were together and that if something went wrong we had options but we didn't get that service and I would like Delta to make this right. I rarely have problems with Delta so this is new to me. Do I call the diamond line to complain? Send an email? Talk to amex plat services and have them MAKE Delta refund a few thousand to get the ticket closer to coach? I'm pretty upset about this because I specifically paid up to avoid what ended up happening.
Don't hold your breath if you think the "few thousand" you mention will be ANYTHING but miles.
(Anyone heard/seen the OP lately?)
