Well I guess much of what you write could apply to many airlines over the past few years - lots of threads on lots of the forums about FF benefits and experiences being reduced. I guess that for EK they can afford to reduce incentives as they have grown so much and seem to have little problem filling premium cabins and making profits. I agree the EK/QF partnership seems full of complex rules and inconsistencies. Not sure many airlines bother to reply to the first letter of complaint with anything other than a generic reply nowadays. Inevitably the more one travels with an airline the greater the liklihood of a experiencing a poor flight. What proportion of your flights has been significantly below par?
One correction - Silver members are still given lounge access in DXB but building works in the B lounge mean those travelling in Y must go to the A or C lounges.
If you do start a new relationship I wonder how long it will be before the irritations start with that as well?
