I tried ex-SIN/KUL to Pudong, seems all is well. Also tried PVG-SIN and Eco Special (V) has no rebooking charges either.
For the shorter hauls IME, PVG-HKG is either LCC flexibility (none to speak of) or full-fare discounted, -TPE being really generous with rebooking.
That's the weird part. When I booked online it said no rebooking for V fare but been I got the fare rules it said a rebooking fee of ¥500 (CNY).
That's why I'm giving you guys the heads up. It's the same issue for all the routes. I was told this is to stop people from trying to skirt the system and have a uniform fare basis across many regional locations.
You guys don't have to believe me thinking this is ex-PVG only. Just go on with your lives if you don't think verifying the fare rules is necessary. Just don't want anyone to be caught out.
