No comments on your options regarding LIN or Torino. My experiences in the north have unfortunately been mainly in Malpensa [shudders].

I flew in AF's biz class this AM CDG-MAD and must say that it is the "lowest" offering I have had in Europe (mainly comparing to KLM and Lufthansa). The snack was really poor, the seats are what they are in European business class, and the cabin crew told me they could not take and hang my winter coat for me for some reason...

Having said this, I enjoy the food and service on AF TATL, although their lay flat seats are not in the same league as the updated ones of KLM and Lufthansa (the other two airlines I fly regularly due to company deals). KLM and Lufthansa try very hard especially on the food, but rarely seem to get it right - it is always complicated and bit overdone (very personal opinion), but I digress...
