There does seem to be quite a bit complaints filed by the SuperAngryPenguin. I stay over 200 nights a year in hotels and I can't even ever recall filing complaints, for the few issues that have ever existed, I just went down to the front desk and they deal with it.

Yuck, that probably changes it a bit for me. If I am getting covered in it I would be a bit more vocal. Then again, the hotel likely had nothing to do with it. A prior guest, or even the current guest, could have flushed various things down the toilet that plugged up the piping, to no fault of the hotel.

This part I don't understand. You were fine with it and if it was just you it would have not been an issue. But, because your wife was a bit traumatized, even though she didn't get any of the stuff on her, you feel the need to get compensation? Did she get the compensation or demand you ask for it?
