I usually don't post about subjects that have been covered, but I have a quick question that unfortunately I really do not have the time to research at the moment - circumstances have forced me to change my upcoming flight to BAH on the BA125 from today to tomorrow (19), and the cost of changing my seat by 24 hours has been a rather dear £1,012, booting my ticket up from an M WT seat to a full fare W WTP seat. As, according to the BAEC agent who handled the change, both Y and now W is full, and CW is rather empty they may upgrade me or release U seats so one can use Avios to upgrade.


As of now, no online upgrades are available, besides an overbooking, is there anything that I can do that could help my chances? I'm in CW on the inbound.

On the upside, the extra TPs will make me reach Gold by January, much earlier than anticipated.

I hope it isn't a silly question, but as they say, the only stupid questions are the ones that you don't ask.
