Does that work? When I flew Airtran all the time I could fly standby on the same day and all they would ever tell me is "fewer than 9 seats", "sold out" or "good availability".
I'm curious also. I've always been under the impression that airlines are very, very reluctant to give out this sort of information and prefer to use the more ambiguous terminology that you mentioned.
