Thanks corporate-wage-slave, T8191 and all

I am considering 3 avenues to retain oneworld status
1. Fly the PMO-NYC with two real BA legs and then
1a: ask BA to waive the other 2 legs required (on the basis that I will have already booked another 2/3 flights on IB/BA by then)
1b. failing that, try to scoop 2 more between Jan and March (with a return to London for example)

2. Try to have Delta/UA to match BA and then have AA match (in that case I can fly the PMO-NYC with the UA segment in business)

3. Challenge the AA status equivalent (would cost me $240) but I know already I would make the 5,000 points requirement in the next 12 days (I have a NYC-PMO in business with AA on Thur and I would add the PMO-NYC with US)

Any thoughts from the expert community?
