Clickrewards (Netcentives, Inc.), a San Francisco Internet marketing company said it will fire about 165 employees, or 48 percent of its workforce, to restructure operations and cut costs. Netcentives, whose shares have dropped 96 percent this year, will reduce its workforce to about 180 employees from 345, the company said in a release. The company, which offers rewards such as airline miles for online purchases, has been hurt by a slow demand for Internet marketing services.
