The location can't be beaten and the decor/ambience is quite neat, agreed. Wit is probably the worst of the big Chicago hhonors properties in terms of property amenities (gym, spa, etc.) though, so if that is important to the OP it should probably be taken into consideration.

PH, if you luck into a less-busy time and get a good upgrade, can be great as well.

I guess part of it is what you're going for - formal modern (WA), historic (PH), or artsy/hip (Wit). Like I said I'd be ambivalent about returning to the WA but at the end of the day I might just throw it in on the strength of the hard product and give the service another chance.
Not to turn this into another general Chicago hotel thread, but the Wit's $15 voucher plus $5 will get you an omelet, or other regular breakfast. I've had two stays in the last week and it's been this way for a year or so. Instead of ordering off the menu with the credit, you can choose yoghurt-granola and toast or bagel, and coffee or tea or juice. Iirc, you can choose oatmeal instead of the yoghurt concoction. This has been a serious downgrade from the former offerings. As I noted in the Wit thread a year or so ago, I had a conversation with F&B manager who stated that the Wit's lessened benefit was comparable to other Chicago hotel options and what is offered by Hilton as a chain.

At the WA now, no breakfast, just the 15% off benefit at the restaurant for this diamond. All in all, imo, this is still the best Hilton property in Chicago even if you don't get breakfast or a couple of drinks in the bar anymore.
