Upcoming trip has us flying PEK-SEA-DTW, landing in SEA at 12:50 pm and departing at 2pm (70 minutes). A call to Delta has informed me that legal connection time is 90 minutes, but the next available flight to DTW isn't until 11pm. I called using skype and she wasn't able to hear me ask 3 times if the rebooking is free should we miss that 2pm flight. If it's free I'll happily risk it and run, though it will suck to not be able to buy some food. I've never missed a connection before, so advice would be welcome here.

The flight is Dec 29th, and we are not familiar with the layout at SEA. Thanks!
