Avoid FS Mumbai at all cost - the rooms are like scruffy offices and the area (Worli) is basically a slum with a few offices dotted around. Given that, the pool will be the least of your worries.
The Oberoi's pool is awful - a tiny, ill-placed puddle. Next door at, sister hotel, the Trident Mumbai, you get a much larger and better rooftop pool.
I'll give it a shot anyway, just booked.
As said, I only like Taj when spending big money. In a 'normal' basic room, your money is better spent elsewhere. I agree that the pool is nice though, as well as they have my favorite restaurant, the Golden Dragon. Have not yet encountered a Chinese restaurant that can attain their level.
Palladium is great but I'm getting a bit fed up with the bar (the one next to the Mekong restaurant) as well as the pool where you're bound to sit in the shade as from about 2PM, a shame cause the pool area is actually quite nice. IMO they aim high but in my opinion they just don't get there.
Access to Palladium mall is a plus but since I'm bringing my wife along it's actually not that bad that she doesn't have direct access
In FS I very much like the rooftop bar, probably the best evening place I've yet experienced in Mumbai. Hence I'll give the rest of the hotel a shot as well, been in the other ones too many times already.
Don't care much about the direct surroundings since mostly I'm hopping in a cab to other places anyway.
Let's see, hope I don't regret it
