On Allegiant and Spirit you can purchase seat assignments for a nominal fee as opposed to Delta Basic Economy. Another option on Allegiant is to purchase priority boarding which offers pre-boarding.
Further, the standard for Spirit and Allegiant is open seating which affords many more opportunities to sit together.
