I don't think I can assign a specific date. However:
When the airlines started making everybody "elite". It lost its meaning a several years ago. Even those that disagree with me vehemently on here (yet seem to be so sensitive if they get the idea something is directed at them), can agree it used to mean MUCH more than it does today.
Standing in line at gate counters behind 30 people all asking if they were going to get the upgrade got old.
Thankfully my income and position in life changed where I could. As I matured, my personal opinion is that exclusivity is nice. You can't have exclusivity by including all.
The old post of mine was dredged up from NW and incorrectly applied toward DL in the DL forum. Which in itself is inaccurate.
I feel VERY sad for anyone who hasn't been able to improve their financial, social, and personal means over the course of several years. Many on here seem to have not been able to do that. Financial and social stagnation is very sad to me. If one can go through life for 5 years and not change their opinion on anything, I question the intelligence of that individual.
