I wasn't sure where I was going to start my Christmas travels this year (YYZ or YOW), so I booked SFO-YVR-YYZ-YOW on my flight pass, figuring I could just drop the last segment if necessary.

Since everything's confirmed for YYZ now, I just called in. I would have simply cancelled and rebooked, but the SFO-YVR flight is now Z0 (no Latitude upgrades), and while I understand it's rouge and short, I don't want to give that up.

Well, apparently they can't simply drop a segment, even on a flight pass booking. She said she'd have to cancel and rebook, but recognized the upgrade issue.

What was her suggestion? "When you get to the airport, tell the agent to check your bag to Toronto, and just don't get on the last flight."

I understand that in the case of a FP booking, I'm not getting a cheaper ticket, so it's not quite the same as a traditional hidden city booking, but I still found it amusing.
