On the subject of runways, is there a normal pattern to runway use at IAH? I know most departures seem to be on 15L or R, occasionally the opposite direction on 33L or R. I cannot remember ever landing on those runways though. Does that ever happen? Even with stronger crosswinds, it seems we always crab-walk into one of the east-west runways. Makes sense, not questioning it, just curious if I ever may land on the 15/33 lanes. I suppose the approach lanes for them would be very different, with approaches to 33 going over the city? Also, I very, very seldom use 9/27, the south-side east/west runway. Is that just because of chance, or the sets of flights I normally take, or is it used less for some other reason, like a buffer around the departures from 15/33?
