I tried to bring forward a CE Avios booking today from CPH-LHR to an earlier flight. There was plenty of availability but no joy, either from the call centre or the outstation.
I can understand (to a point) the revenue protection arguments of not allowing same day changes or standbys for restricted tickets but I don't get why there can't be same day flexibility on award tickets, particularly when award seats remain open on the day.
