Not too long ago a 'pie of the day' was introduced but I've not seen it on my last two visits.
In the 5 or 6 times I've been to the Flounge since the pies were introduced, I've only ever seen the mushroom and spinach pie - I've just become resigned to the fact that pie of the day is just the same pie...must just be my luck...
My parents fly QF J long haul often (not so much now as PER is EK territory) and a few years ago they said they had an amazing lamb, mint and pea pie on a LAX-SYD flight. I'm not sure what it would be like in the air, but I can vouch for the deliciousness of it on the ground having made it a few times (as well as many other recipes from Neil Perry's great book Good Food).
