I always take priority boarding so I can get my headphones, tablet, neck pillow etc sorted. I aslo ask crew how full flight is to work out whether I am likely to be able to move across to a whole row in the middle section.
On my last "very full" flight, the entire last 2 rows (for a total of 12 seats) were empty. Great to lie down but horrible legroom.
