I'm working on a similar trip - a trip that was partly influenced by a the exact trip taken by DavidO (last year I believe).

My plan:

Start at El Silencio.

Check out Nayara.

Then a Papagayo hotel.

Enter CR via San Jose and exit via Liberia.
