AAdvantage Executive Platinum Your Executive Platinum status is set to expire on February 28, 2015, and we want to offer you an opportunity to continue enjoying Executive Platinum benefits through the 2015 membership year.

Act now, and we'll extend your Executive Platinum status for only $2,499. You'll continue to enjoy exceptional benefits including eight systemwide upgrades, unlimited complimentary upgrades confirmed as early as 100 hours before departure, three free checked bags and much more.

Once you purchase, we'll extend your elite status through February 2016"

Since at that point, I had future flights booked, which would (and DID) get me over the 100,000 EQM number, I didn't take them up on their offer--but the email did allow me to renew my EXP status (if I paid $2,499).
Such a DEAL!

Interesting how the Boost-Renew page says it's not possible, but someone got the bright idea of offering an EP Renewal for a "mere" $2,499!

Thanks for sharing; every data point helps. I've updated the wikipost.
