Uganda is beautiful and still relatively inexpensive compared to most other Sub-Saharan countries. The country has amazing variety and it is the only place where you can see the big five AND gorillas (and chimps). Uganda is not called the Pearl if Africa for nothing.
Namibia has some amazing and unique scenery and nature. It is also a place where you can safely self-drive and even camp. Sossusvlei and the Skeleton Coast are unforgettable. You could even drive through the Caprivi Strip to Vic Falls.
Ethiopia is an amazing country with an ancient culture, fantastic music, and superb mountain scenery. And it is yet to be touched by mass tourism.

Just to agree, Namibia was the most incredible place I have been. Also, Gorilla permits are pretty darn spendy, from the research that I did.
