assume that SDF-ORD is on UA too, yes? If so, get to SDF early. When you get there, they'll be able to link your two reservations and check you all the way through. Your bag will be checked all the way through to CDG and you'll get both boarding passes. When you get to ORD just go right to your connecting gate. You're within the minimum connecting time, so you'll be fine, assuming no irregular opeations/ weather.

My flight arriving at 5:27pm was a positioning flight (SDF to ORD) I had to pay for and my ticket from ORD-CDG is using miles, thus 2 different itineraries. Since I will be able cutting it close already with this 6:25pm flight will I be allowed to check-in for my ORD-CDG flight at my originating airport (SDF) on my first itinerary? I doubt I'd have time to go check-in at ORD.
