It's doable. I connected on two separate KE tickets once with a two hour layover. I flew from the US (my employer purchased the ticket), then I flew on to the Philippines (I paid for htat one).

I collected my bags, went through immigration, collected my bags and checked in again for my flight to MNL.

Where are you flying on Jin Air? Why don't you look at connecting on one KE ticket?
