Welcome to flyertalk and the BA forum!^

What is your final destination in the US ( ie do you have to get a connecting flight?)

Regardless of it being a 747 or 777 you will get New First ( there is a very slim chance on the 747 that you might get Old first but you would get 50,000 avios back and there are IIRC only about 3 OF 747s left now.)

The flight to IAH is longer so you get to enjoy F more.

I have heard that the F cabin feels more spacious on the 777 ( but you may get traffic noise coming from the front of the aircraft where as there is nothing in front of you in the nose of the 747.)

Apart from that the seat is the same.
