You could also try applying for Barclay Arrival+ card. To my mind this is BETTER than the Southwest card. You get 2.2% back in points, you can use to reimburse travel on any airline.

After I was denied by Chase I did get the Arrival + card and while it is a very good card with 2 points per and will be and would still be my go to card if I had the chase after I received enough points to get the CP…My thinking: as of now with the Arrival I have almost 50,000 points which is $500 in travel. If a roundtrip on Southwest for one person is $250 per person, for both my husband and I, the total is $500 --- cool, I’m even didn’t cost me anything. However, if I had the CP, I’d only have to spend $250 and still have another 25,000 points/$250 left with Arrival for our next trip to see son. So my thinking the Chase Southwest card is the better card until/once CP is achieved.
