I was 5000 short of executive platinum this year so last week i took yvr-lax-jfk and back for 400 usd
AA wouldn't do anything, even for 100 miles short they said they don't do that
how close are you to gold?
you need to weigh the cost-benefit of a mileage run to get to gold
