This was moved to the legacy AA forum.
Due to the ongoing merger of AA and US Airways, the AA forum structure was changed and there's three AA forums right now - one for legacy AA, one for legacy US, and one for "new combined" AA. As your question was pertaining exclusively to legacy AA, it was moved to the appropriate subforum by a moderator - that's all.

Regarding your question:
The seats are all pretty much the same. No differences in legroom etc. I travel with a dog and prefer the aisle seats in row 6, as those have more floor space than the others. Others avoid the first row as the seats are located right next to the galley/loo and the associated noise/light/traffic/ may get disturbing.
