Checking baggage through on 2 US itineraries

If I have 2 different US reservations back to back: DEN-PHL & PHL-LAS (work sending me to Denver with a personal trip to Vegas previously planned) will I be able to check a bag through to LAS from DEN? I know I've done it before with dual US reservations, but I can't remember if that was before or after US changed their interline/baggage check policy where they essentially stopped interlining except on the same reservation.

Obviously this isn't interlining but I wasn't sure how broad they made the rule. I'm only going to have about 80 minutes in PHL which is probably enough time to recheck if I have to, but any delays and it'll be tight.
