Note that Golds are only entitled to enhanced rooms, meaning slightly better rooms in the same category that was booked, not upgrades.
Good to know on the management. The W seems like a more polished operation (granted, however, I've only been to the LM once).
Also, understand on the enhanced vs. upgrade for golds. I always took this to mean things like better view rooms within the same category. Perhaps LM classes the street-view rooms differently than the wall view ones.
Nonetheless, it was a miserable experience. I'm sure isolated but I'll stay away for now.
