BA's systems are poor at picking up changes in status even for their own FFs. The system often works better if you have an agent remove the FF number manually from the PNR then add it again. Some people have also reported success in doing this themselves using the Finnair website (this uses the same background system as BA's). How long the updated info will take to filter through from AA though, I do not know.
