SFO-CDG in J
I am very unfamiliar with AF, but decided to use points to snag a J seat for February. Based on reading various sources it appears they are using a 3-class 772ER configuration for the flight which has 35 in J, 24 in Y+ and 250 in Y.
I am also rather confused by the NEV1, NEV2,.........etc terms to refer to their long haul J. But from my understanding, it seems there are only really two types of long haul J seats:
1) Angled Flat: 333, 343, 772, 77W, 744, 380
2) Fully Flat Cirrus: on selected 77W & 772.
Can someone confirm?
It seems I will be getting the angled flat one. Is the 772ER configuration used for this flight as bad as what I have read? It seems like the term "old", "crummy", "sardine" is often used to describe the J cabin & seat for this configuration. But according to seatguru, the pitch for the B772 cabin is 79 whereas in comparisons, the pitch for the A380 is only 55 for the same sliding seats. Is seatguru accurate?
