My experience tends to be that the better service is in the non-premium sections. For a start, it doesn't start with a judgement of your assumed eligibility to be standing in front of them.
The best service I've had on BA in recent months has been in Euro Traveller, and the worst (by far) in Club World and Club Europe. The best service I've had ever on BA was earlier this year in ET, and the crew member in question was completely shocked when the CSD appeared with his iPad to welcome me as a gold.
