Ok. While I am not experienced with the c&p "select" rates it makes more sense. I too noticed that regular c&p was not available for your 4 night stay so they must have bumped you and offered a c&p room rate for a select room.

You post rates, what are the room details? Is it a premium room they have booked you into?

You could try and redeem the standard C&P rate on the 17th and go select for the nights around it. You risk that the property may need you to switch out of your premium room that night and of course Japan is stickler for rules.
