Call me a skeptic also. Maybe Verizon has started to treat inflight texting like they do international roaming with (exorbitant) charges to follow? A did a web search and there is no mention about Verizon and inflight texting.

He has a newer Samsung Galaxy phone fwiw.

I'm telling him to check his Verizon usage before I believe he has been texting me for free inflight!
