KWI-IAD Canceled on December 8 because IAD-KWI canceled for mechanical the night before.
They operated an extra segment 24 hrs later, but after a couple hours on the phone I managed to get rerouted via IST and FRA. Not a peep from United yet, and no offers of compensation.
Will be interesting to see if they respond to my request to reimburse hotel and phone charges for the forced overnight.
I was on the cancelled 982 (IAD-KWI) on December 6th. Hotel voucher was ready to go in baggage claim, rebooked on LH the next day ( or optionally on added UA segment) and an email for a substantial inconvenience voucher.
