Definitely kill time at the hotel. PPT is hot, muggy and outside until you clear security. It is an awful place to hang around with few facilities. As a matter of fact, for the last three visits, one last month, we spent the night in PPT and took the morning flight when the heat and humidity is far less. I think TN offers some morning flights... we fly AF because the seats are not like rocks as they are on TN.
